At present, there are many kinds of
large industrial fans for large space in the ventilation market, which differ from the number of fan blades, fan modeling and motor brands. As an end user, how to select high-quality products from such many products? The quality of a large industrial fan mainly depends on safety and performance. The performance is mainly related to the air volume, wind speed, rotation rate and wind pressure. Vanse will introduce them for the convenience of users.
Wind speed
Wind speed is the air flow velocity at the fan outlet, generally in m/s, which is one of the important performance indexes of large industrial fans. The speed value of a certain position can not fully reflect the performance of the fan. The wind speed may vary greatly at different locations, and the average value is difficult to calculate. The wind speed of Vanse industrial fan can reach 1-3m/s, which is comparable to the most comfortable natural breeze. The wind speed mainly depends on the shape, area, height and speed of the fan blade. Although the influence of the shape design, area and height is complex, it is common sense that the faster the rotation rate, the faster the wind speed.
Air volume
Air volume refers to the volume of air passing through the section of fan outlet (or air inlet) in unit time. The unit is generally cfm, i.e. cubic foot per minute, or cmm, i.e. cubic meter per minute. Air volume is the overall measurement index of fan performance, which is not limited by size, structure and mode, nor limited to DC brushless fan. It can be applied to any air diversion equipment. Air volume = average wind speed x air flow area. It can be seen that the air volume of fan basically depends on the wind speed and the size of the wind area. According to the authoritative test, the air volume of a 24 ft-diameter fan of Vanse can reach 14,130 m3/min, which is far higher than the average value of peers.
Rotation rate
Rotation rate refers to the number of cycles that the fan blade rotates in unit time. The unit is generally rpm, that is, rotation per minute. Rotation rate is one of the fundamental determinants of performance indexes of the fan, which is the most easily measured parameter of the fan. High rotation rate is the source of the power of various "violent" fans and the source of loud noise. The rotation rate basically depends on the motor performance of the fan. If specify the physical specification and structure of the fan, all kinds of performance will be determined by the rotation rate which can affect wind speed, air volume, air pressure, noise, power and even service life. The higher the rotating rate, the stronger the fan performance, that is, the faster the wind speed, the greater the air volume and the greater the wind pressure. Meanwhile, it is inevitable that high speed will bring more friction, vibration and noise, and the service life of bearing and other loss equipment will be short. As the rotation rate increases, the power consumption of the motor will also increase.
Wind pressure
Wind pressure refers to the pressure difference between the air outlet and air inlet caused by the fan. The unit is generally mm (cm). Due to the high hanging space of large industrial fans, the wind pressure is not an important index of large industrial fans, but only a reference index for special environment. The wind pressure is a measure of the "strength" of fans. If the air volume is compared to the swing force of a weapon, the wind pressure is the sharpness of the weapon. Wind pressure mainly depends on the shape, area, height and rotation rate of the fan blade. The influence of the first three is more complex, but the relationship between wind pressure and rotation rate is simple and direct - the faster the rotation rate, the greater the wind pressure.
The performance of a large industrial fan is not determined by a single parameter index that various indexes need to be designed reasonably. According to different specifications, sizes and the service environment, Vanse large industrial fan reasonably develops and designs the air volume, wind speed, rotation rate, wind pressure and other indicators, together with the friction, vibration, noise, energy consumption and other secondary indicators, to make the Vanse large industrial fan achieve the best performance and meet the needs of different industries.
